Tim Day 2: Creatures that make sense  Energetics  -consume more energy than you use -do is alive don't you are dead what you eat needs to give more energy to you than it took to catch it. energy can come from environment communication sensory capability -how do people see or animals see? -night vision/no night vision -ultra violet spectrum -polarize light (beetles) Cool crazy animals -mantis shrimps!!! -hairy Frog- uses its own bones as defense (talk about badass) -Texas horned lizard shoots blood out of its eyes in defense -very few animals produce blue pigment- use reflective light to create the effect take traits from different animals and rearrange: nothing you can think of is too weird nature is way ahead of you!
