Tim Rumage Notes

biotic-living

abiotic-non living

biotic and abiotic must be balanced.

food pyramids-

1 lion- 5acers
2lions-10acers
baby lion
    2- 10acers
         20acers
need another pair more young 20acers

total:40 acers

eventually babies have to find empty space

tree swallows 8years lifespan 6years 4years breeding

1pair= 48 young

2 need to survive to keep the family legacy alive

46=food for the rest of the food chain

think predator vs prey, how to balance it out that both sustain life. couple of prey live and a lot die.

generation times matter/ what is the generation time for your species?

bugs very short generation time/ a week sometimes
mammals longer generation time/ usually years
plant life/ varried/ trees some 700 years

creatures have one specific trait only they have

*efficiency of the system*

primary production/ who/what is producing the base energy who will eat it? who will eat them?

death rate of things/ who dies is the nutrients for photosynthetic system.

every place will have ecological/weather phenomenon

recognizable traits we have seen/makes fantastic beasts believable.

more prey than predators to keep balance

My Planet: Tim notes

dense 4 degrees  currents run through ocean

currents pull heat with them energy

unique combination of characteristics

things that can do well in cold hot and meduim

Darwin's finches 14 different spieces only 14 possibilities for evolution on that island

each niche will have different primary source of energy

some places will be less dense in population

bio-illumincent bacteria feeds life in deep sea.

World building assignment

Design a niche/ cant deal with all of the ecologies

zero in on an areas of the planet

design one ecosystem on planet.

primary organism

Utopia in balance.

ratio 1 to 8

double ratio on website

make sure to match seams

offset

conversion of energy/ heat to life
